Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 June 2026
These terms govern use of Social Web ("the software"), a self-hosted application used by a single operator to schedule and publish their own content to their own connected social media accounts.
1. Acceptance
By using the software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
2. Description of the service
Social Web connects to social media platforms through their official APIs to schedule and publish first-party content the operator owns. It is not a multi-tenant service and provides no access to any third party's accounts or data.
3. Acceptable use
- You will only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
- You are solely responsible for the content you publish and for complying with the terms, policies and community guidelines of each platform you post to.
- You will comply with all applicable laws and will not use the software to publish unlawful, infringing, or abusive content, spam, or to circumvent any platform's rules.
4. Platform terms
Your use of each connected platform remains subject to that platform's own terms of service and developer policies. Nothing here overrides them.
5. No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Publishing is dependent on third-party APIs that may change or fail.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the software, including failed, delayed, or removed posts.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
